I’ve gone back and forth over whether to use WordPress or Joomla for my personal site. I finally settled on WordPress because it is much simpler and fits the needs of this site. It’s also easier to set up and run than Movable Type, which I use for clients who can’t afford downtime.

I also have clients who I have set up using Joomla or Interspire WebPublisher, but again, it depends on the needs of the site. I recommend Content Management Systems (CMS) to my clients who have a lot of content that needs to be presented in a specific way or that needs extensive user management.

At first, I set this site up using Joomla, but I have since changed my mind, based on the purpose of this site. I just want to share information and have a place to promote my services. WordPress fits nicely.
